LIPUNAN

ANG TAO ANG BUMUBUO NG LIPUNAN; ANG LIPUNAN ANG BUMUBUO NG TAO.

One of the challenging tasks of a teacher is to come up with activities that are not only engaging but also meaningful to students. 

With the opening of classes on June 2, I have prepared an activity to jumpstart my lesson on “LIPUNAN: KABUTIHANG PANLAHAT,” the first lesson of Grade 9 under their Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao.

Here’s the flow of the activities:

FIRST DAY

• GROUPING BY THEIR BIRTH MONTH
• GROUP NAME
• GROUP YELL
•  GROUP RULES
•  GROUP EXPECTATIONS
•  PROCESSING- Each group that has been formed is a microcosm of the bigger community. Each group reflects norms that can also be mirrored in the general society. A functional group begets a functional community. A dysfunctional one leads to a dysfunctional society. It is therefore imperative that each team strives towards excellence, group cohesion and unity, embodying the principles of solidarity and subsidiarity. The group rules shall govern each team so that the members shall work in unison and harmony. Similarly, we have laws to guide us in our society.

SECOND DAY

• BODY MACHINE- students are tasked to make a representation or illustration of the following institutions using their bodies and no other materials.

1. Public Market
2.  Government
3. Hospital
4. Family 
5.  Church

• VENN DIAGRAM- showing the similarities and differences of their own group to the bigger community.
• PROCESSING- The body machine enhances the creativity of each team to paint or illustrate the different institutions in the society.
• REFLECTION- Students are tasked to make their reflection from the series of activities accomplished.

Ang aking pagninilay- nilay sa mga nagdaang aktibidad ay masasalamin sa  pagkakaisa ng aming grupo sa pagkakatuparan ng mga obhektibo sa aralin. Naging masaya ang aming grupo dahil nagkaroon kami ng pagbabahaginan sa mga nalalaman namin sa mga topics na ibinigay. Kami ay sobrang nasiyahan dahil sa pagkakabuo ng aming grupo. Sa bawat pag-uusap namin, laging may biruan, tawanan at minsa’y kaseryosohan kapag hindi namin nasundan ang mga panuto.

Ang aming grupo ay halintulad sa malaking lipunan dahil katulad din ng malaking lipunan, ang grupo nami’y may mga alituntunin na dapat sundin. Ang mga group rules ay magsisilbing batas na siyang gagabay sa bawat miyembro.  Tulad din ng malaking lipunan, ang grupo nami’y naglalayong magkaroon ng kabutihang panlahat. Maisusulong ang mga proyekto namin. Maisasagawa ang mga aktibidad na dapat gawin. At ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat, nagkakaisa kami at nagtutulungan.

Gayundin, sa aming grupo, mayroon akong mga inaasahang bagay. Inaasahan ko na wala sanang mag-aaway away, mambubully at higit sa lahat, inaasahan kong walang babagsak sa amin. Sana lahat kami ay papasa. Walang lamangan at kami ay magmamahalan.
